YWV1-37-A Oil Mist Collector for Compact CNC Machining

Oil mist is a common by-product of CNC machining, particularly when coolant or cutting oil is used at high spindle speeds. If it is not effectively controlled, fine droplets can remain suspended in the machining enclosure and eventually spread into the surrounding workshop.

The YWV1-37-A Oil Mist Collector is developed for small machining enclosures where effective oil mist extraction is required without taking up excessive space.

It is suitable for equipment with a machining room volume of approximately 1–2 m³, making it a practical option for compact CNC machines and other enclosed metalworking equipment.

Its compact structure allows it to be integrated into the machine’s existing ventilation arrangement without requiring a large external filtration system.

Multi-Stage Filtration for Fine Oil Mist

Oil mist generated during machining can contain very small droplets that are difficult to remove through simple mechanical separation.

The YWV1-37-A uses a glass-fiber filtration medium to capture fine oil mist during the filtration process. Its comprehensive filtration efficiency can reach more than 99%, with filtration capability for oil mist particles of 0.3 μm and above.

This helps reduce the amount of airborne oil mist released from the machining enclosure and contributes to a cleaner environment around the machine.

Why Oil Mist Control Matters

Effective oil mist control is not only about keeping the air cleaner.

Continuous accumulation of oil mist can also lead to:

  • Oil deposits on machine surfaces and surrounding equipment
